In this post we will teach how to run the AGE OF EMPIRES IV on cpu without AVX, with only two DLL's the game worked very well on old cpu's.
We managed to make it work only on the CODEX version, it was tested on the original microsoft version but we couldn't insert the files in the root folder.
1- First download the CODEX version via Torrent
2- Emulate the .iso image of the game and open Setup.exe doing the installation
3- Copy the files from the CODEX folder to the game's root folder
4- Extract the downloaded zipped file "Age of Empires IV on AVX fix"
5- Copy the extracted DLL's to the same root folder of the game
Okay, now the game will open smoothly on your cpu without avx :)
